The Takeover Training

Development First.

The Takeover (TTO) International Training & Development Program is a high-performance American football development system led by Jojo Mathis, former U.S. Army All-American and Professional Player. This program is focused on building complete athletes through structured coaching, position-specific instruction, and elite-level skill development.

Training within TTO emphasizes fundamentals, advanced technique work, strength and speed development, football IQ, and execution under game-like pressure. Athletes are placed in a professional training environment that includes on-field drills, conditioning protocols, film study, and competitive reps designed to replicate real game situations.

Now integrated with the Japan Gridiron Association, the program strengthens its development pathway within Japan’s growing American football landscape. The Japan Gridiron Association supports the expansion of structured training environments and competitive standards, helping align domestic athlete development with international levels of play.

Commitment to Excellence.

The Takeover (TTO) is committed to maintaining the highest standards in athlete development, training structure, and performance culture. Every session is built around disciplined preparation, precise execution, and continuous improvement, where athletes are challenged to train with purpose, embrace coaching, and take ownership of their growth. Excellence at TTO is not a result, but a standard—reflected in consistent effort, attention to detail, and the mindset required to compete and succeed at higher levels of American football.

Takeover The Game

This program is built around the mindset of taking over the game through preparation, performance, and relentless development. This means producing athletes who don’t just participate, but actively influence and control the flow of competition through skill, discipline, and football intelligence. TTO trains players to dominate their positions, execute under pressure, and raise the standard of play in every environment they step into. Taking over the game is not just about talent—it is about consistency, accountability, and the commitment to outwork and outprepare the competition at every level.
